it's quittin' time, but not for me.

i took a ten minute break a few hours ago to scarf down some slightly lukewarm chicken just so i wouldn't pass out from hunger.

and now i'm gonna hafta keep working until they turn out the lights and kick my ass out. so much still left to do. not enough hours in the day to do it in.

and am i getting paid any extra for any of this? noooooooo...
i'm a 'salaried' employee, which just so happens to be the biggest scam ever. fuck.

i don't like me very much when i'm all busy and stressed out like this. i scowl too much and my temper just goes off at the slightest little thing. in other words, i'm not a joy to be around (well, i *am* a joy to be around, just not whilst i'm at work)...

i need to go to wal-mart tonight to get supplies or else i won't be able to do it until friday. and if i don't go until friday, i'll surely run out of st. ives vanilla body wash by then...i really wanted to get christmas decorations for the office, too, but now i'm not in the mood. maybe between here and there i'll step into a big puddle of x-mas joy and feel all cheerful and festive again, but i think the only puddles around these parts are the kind that you don't want to be stepping in.

and now it's back to work...a-g-a-i-n.
