i've changed my mind. i listened to that starsailor album almost exclusively this weekend, and i totally dig it. i suppose what turned me off at first was the fact that starsailor sound almost exactly like the prayer boat (i.e. lots of sad/jazzy piano, singers overuse of falsetto), but they do rock a wee bit harder...and the songs on love is here seem to have more depth than anything on polichinelle. so, there.

man, i'm so cool, that album doesn't even come out until january, but i've had it for a month now. heh.

oh...and coming this week: my top 21 albums of 2001. i'm almost done. patience, please.

Have you heard Sparklehorse? I got their newest CD as a promo at my work Christmas party, and I chose it just because I had heard they're good and sort of moody, kind of how I like some stuff.

But. I really, don't, like them at all. I feel bad. lol.

i have a feeling starsailor are gonna be huge. but, um, i've been wrong before. but at least *we* like them. :::high five:::

sparklehorse are alright...i have the new album on my 'to buy' list, but i just haven't gotten it yet (and i haven't heard it yet, either). and, yeah, they are moody...but in a really twisted tortured country-ish sort of way. definitely not for everyone.

lol.. not for me. But it seems like one of those CDs that I might not listen to for like, a year, and then put it in cause I'll be sick of the CDs I'll currently have, and I'll fall in love with them.. I'm weird with music like that.
