we'll be getting paid this saturday (thank you, jesus). since this'll be the last pay day of the year, i get two checks: a regular paycheck, and one for not taking any vacation time (again) this year. and i might even be getting a little action on the side in the form of a holiday bonus from my boss (for the best employee any employer could ever ask for). but even with all the money i'm going to be falling into soon, i'm not going to go to vegas with more than $200 in my pocket. that's my cap on how much i'm willing to lose. i'm going to be wise and leave behind some money in the bank so that i'll be able to have some fun in the new year. and if i should somehow be blessed with some beginners luck and start winning at the tables, i'm going to walk away whilst i'm ahead. at least, that's my plan. we'll just have to wait and see what all the flashing lights and free drinks do to my self-control.

i don't have any problem at all with spending money like it's going out of style (at least for the next two weeks) 'cos here's how i figure it: you only turn 21 once and you should make it as memorable an experience as possible, and hey, i've got the whole rest of my life to make more money. carpe diem, my friends.
