I know this dude's ballin, and yeah that's nice.


For Valentine's Day I bought myself and my special someone tickets to see this show. That's right, this is officially the most expensive show I've ever gotten tickets for. Only $93.67 each! But shit, this is going to rule so hard. And besides, Daniel's worth every cent. I love you, man! And he'll just get me back when REM/the National/Modest Mouse goes on sale at the Bowl. You better get some picnic table seats, son!

This will also be my first show at the new Nokia Theater. How are the sightlines from the loge section? From what I can tell, it's about 15% bigger than the Universal/Gibson Ampitheater, so I image it would probably be like seeing a show from near the back there. That's cool. YOAH!!!!

But I already have a Nokia phone! And I can actually go without smoking since I probably won't be drinking because I'm sure getting liquor is going to be inconvenient and/or expensive. We'll probably bar-car on the street or something.

What I really want to know is, where were your seats when you went??

Oh, they'll make you buy a new Nokia even if you already have a new Nokia.

If you go to the bar DOWNSTAIRS it's a lot more easier to get drinks and faster.

We sat like to the right middle about 50 rows back? It was pretty close. I think you'd have to ask Kelly. But, yeah... great view.

His shows in TX go on sale here Saturday, as well as Radiohead. I can't afford both at once. I think Radiohead might win out :(

If I had to choose between this or Radiohead, I'd go with seeing Kanye/Lupe/Rihanna 'cos I've already seen Radiohead a couple of times, and I'd be more likely to see them again in the future. I just really need to see Kanye finally. And maybe Justin Timberlake at some point.

The main advantage Radiohead has is that it's in Houston on a Saturday. Kanye is coming to Austin (closer to me) but during the week which means nightmare traffic getting there and zero sleep after, and his Houston show is on a Friday so I'd have to take half a day off. Blahhh. SAN ANTONIO HAS ALMOST 2 MILLION PEOPLE STOP PASSING IT OVER, JERKS.

YAY. yeah I'll do better with that show whenever THAT (REMMMNATIONAL) goes on sale. i'm not even sure if i'm going to go to Radiohead... but if it's at Dodgers stadium I feel it'll be epic.

Long time since the days of $5 shows, isn't it? The last five shows I saw in 2007 were $99.50, $50, comp, $10, $85. How did it get to this?! And I just paid $70 each for two tickets to SPRING TRAINING!! The games don't even count! Brutal.

That Kanye show here is at the United Center. Of course, it's probably the worst large-sized venue in the city. Great. And REM's playing the same place. Oh well.

Seriously! I remember when I paid $50 to see Morrissey a couple of years ago and I was like DAMN, MY WALLET'S IN PAIN. I think $65 had been the most I've ever paid (excluding Coachella) for a single ticket, and I've only done that a few times, so this show is definitely raising the threshold. At this rate I'll only be able to afford to see like, three shows a year.

I'm actually glad that he's not playing the Sports Arena or Staples Center; all indications point to the Nokia as being a large theater while still maintaining a sense of intimacy. Can't wait to find out!

I tried to get tickets to see the Red Sox/Dodgers exhibition at the Coliseum (to celebrate the Dodgers' 50th year in LA) but they sold out (that's 90,000 tickets) in an hour. Insane.

In THEORY, if someone was to throw me a free pair of tickets, I would totally go (hello Rihanna! gay!), but the Radiohead tour trumps ALL!

I feel like since I'm not going to Coachella that I can afford to splurge a little (or a lot, actually.) It's not just Kanye, it's Rihanna and Lupe Fiasco! And N.E.R.D! NO FILLER, ALL KILLER.

It'll be interesting to see what venues Radiohead play. We'll see if I have any room left on my credit cards for that.

Ehhhh. The Nokia's SOUND is great. The venue inside and inside the inside feels like a movie theater. I saw one of the best AND worst shows there last year. BEST was Bjork who was superfantasticwowamazingandstuff. WORST was Tori, who, honestly now, has been going downhill for years. For Kanye it should be pretty amazing.
